D5130E styli are made by REK-O-KUT, America’s oldest name in turntables, for use in 500 and 720 series Stanton phono cartridges. Supplied in Stanton-made mounts, D5130E tips are precision ground and made of highly polished diamonds in the USA.

As with audiophile LPs, the sound of 78 RPM records can be improved by the use of elliptical styli. Elliptical styli can reproduce the highs of old records with much more accuracy while reducing the distortion.

D5130E are not of the conventional 2.7 mil size, but are 3.0 mil in radius. This larger size is ideal for most 78 RPM records because it will play above some of the groove wear, while the elliptical shape compensates for the larger shape in the reproduction of highs.
